Tech companies are spending millions to secure and transport their top execs
Although this may appear to be a new phenomenon, it is only new to the tech world. Actually, corporations have been spending money for decades to keep their executives secure while in transit. In fact, in most all cases safety in transit is mostly determined by the IRS and K&R insurance.
The job market also reflects the growing amount of money being spent on protecting executives.
The following data is taken from a previous podcast episode:
In a 55-day time frame, the ISDA curated and shared 110 job opportunities. The metric that struck us was that 38% of the job opportunities were located in California. The numbers indicated that three states represent 54% of the jobs, and 68% were for various types of EP positions, and 19% for Security Drivers. EP and Secure Transportation job opportunities are like any other opportunities in any other profession; they are sensitive to geography.
They are not hard to find - the issue is that there is an enormous skill gap between what the corporations want for skill knowledge and experience - and what is available.

Kalashnikov launches a Tesla-rivalling electric car
Kalashnikov, the Russian manufacturing giant best known for its AK47 assault rifle, has unveiled the CV-1, a retro-styled 295bhp electric car that it claimed offers Tesla-rivalling performance.
The prototype CV-1 was launched at the Army 2018 International Military Technical Forum in Kubinka, Russia. The car’s styling is based on that of the 1970s Izh 2125 Combi.
